309/309S Stainless Steel Round Pipe or Tube

Product Introduction 309/309S Stainless Steel Round Pipe/Tube is a heat-resisting austenitic alloy designed for continuous exposure above 550 °C. Grade 309 (UNS S30900) provides maximum creep strength, while 309S (UNS S30908) limits carbon to ≤ 0.08 % to prevent carbide precipitation during welding. The nominal 22 % Cr, 12 % Ni chemistry forms a tightly adherent oxide scale that withstands temperatures up to 1 000 °C in air and 980 °C in moderately sulfidizing flue gas. We supply seamless and welded tubes from 6 mm to 1 200 mm O.D., wall 0.5–30 mm, in mill lengths 1–12 m or cut-to-length ± 0.5 mm. Finishes include pickled, 180–320 grit polished, bright annealed (BA) and electropolished (EP) for internal cleanliness.
