Standard Grade Ferro Silicon Nitride – FAQ
Q1: Is Standard Grade enough for my blast furnace taphole clay, or do I need High-Nitrogen Grade?
A: For small and medium-sized blast furnaces, Standard Grade is usually the most cost-effective choice. It provides sufficient high-temperature strength and erosion resistance at a lower purchasing cost. However, if you operate an ultra-large blast furnace under extreme pressure, we recommend upgrading to our High Nitrogen Grade Ferrosilicon Nitride.
Q2: How does using Ferro Silicon Nitride cut my steelmaking costs?
A: Instead of purchasing and handling two different materials (like standard Ferrosilicon plus another nitrided alloy), Ferrosilicon Nitride (FeSiN) delivers both elements in one. This reduces raw material costs.
Q3: Can I order customized particle sizes for my specific recipe?
A: Yes, absolutely! We offer lumps, granules and powder forms. Just share your target size with us, and we will customize it for you.
