PPGI/PPGL Color Coated Steel Coil

PPGI/PPGL Color Coated Steel Coil Pre-painted steel (commonly referred to as PPGI for galvanized substrates and PPGL for aluminum-zinc alloy coated substrates) is produced via continuous coil coating lines. The substrate undergoes chemical pretreatment (typically chromate-free), followed by primer and topcoat application, then cured at Peak Metal Temperatures (PMT) of 210–250°C. Substrate grades include DX51D, DX52D, DX53D, and DX54D per EN 10346, which define forming capabilities (from basic forming to deep drawing). Coating systems are specified by both substrate coating type (e.g., hot-dip galvanized GI with minimum coating mass Z100, or aluminum-zinc alloy coated GL/AZ with AZ150) and organic coating type.
