Colorful DX54D PPGI/PPGL Steel Products Double-sided pre-painted steel coils (PPGI/PPGL) are manufactured using DX54D grade low-carbon steel substrate, characterized by its high formability (r-value ≥1.9, n-value ≥0.22) and yield strength of 140–220 MPa. The substrate is coated with a zinc layer (minimum Z100 per EN 10346) via continuous hot-dip galvanizing, followed by a chemical pretreatment (typically chromate-free), an epoxy primer (5–10 μm), and a finish coat applied via reverse roll coating. Finish coat options include polyester (PE), siliconized polyester (SMP), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), or specialty coatings such as wrinkle finish, grain print, or laminated PVC film (VCM/PCM). Total dry film thickness ranges from 20–45 μm. The double-sided coating ensures uniform protection on both surfaces.
