M12 D Coded EtherCAT Bus Cable for Beckhoff PLC and Motion Control This M12 D coded EtherCAT cable belongs to our M12 Circular Connector series. It is specifically designed for EtherCAT real time communication in Beckhoff PLC based motion control systems. EtherCAT is an industrial Ethernet protocol that achieves very short cycle times for servo drives and motion axes. The D coding on the M12 connector supports the four pin Ethernet wiring scheme used for 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. Two pins carry transmit data and two pins carry receive data. The shielded twisted pair construction maintains signal integrity in electrically noisy factory environments. This cable comes pre terminated with M12 D coded connectors on one or both ends depending on your application. For Beckhoff system integrators this means they can connect EtherCAT slaves directly to the master using industry standard M12 interfaces.
