Tetanus Antitoxin Injection 1500iu/0.75ml with GMP Product Description Tetanus antitoxin is prepared from the blood of healthy horses that have been specifically hyperimmunized. It is recommended for use when a non-immunized animal suffers a deep wound that may have been contaminated with soil, following castration or docking, and other situations where tetanus infection has been a problem. Indication and use 1. For those openly wounded, especially those wounded deeply and contaminated seriously, and in danger of being infected with tetanus, prophylactic injection of tetanus antitoxin should be given at once. Patients who have had previous injection of tetanus toxoid should be boosted with one more injection of tetanus toxoid (but not tetanus antitoxin).
