Ring Joint Gaskets RX Type An adaptation of the standard ‘r’ type gasket Designed to fit the same groove design Interchangeable with standard r type gaskets Available from rX20 to rX215 RX ring gaskets are similar in shape to the standard octagonal ring joint gasket, but their cross section is designed to take advantage of the contained fluid pressure in effecting a seal. They are made to API 6A and interchangeable with standard octagonal rings. RX is suitable for pressures up to 5,000 psi. Standard sizes are stocked in low carbon steel, 304 and 316. RX Ring Joint Gasket The Style RX is an adaptation of the standard Style R which is energized when the assembly is pressurised. The RX is designed to fit the same groove design as a standard Style R, making the joints interchangeable, however consideration should be given to the difference in finished make up distance.
