The rubber lining surface is precision polished with roughness <0.01 mm, much lower than spiral welded pipes (0.15~0.2 mm) and ceramic linings (0.05~0.1 mm), reducing fluid resistance by 15%~20%. Taking DN500 pipe as an example, when the conveying capacity is 2000 m³/h, the friction coefficient λ of the rubber lined steel pipe is 0.018, while that of traditional steel pipe is 0.022, saving about 120,000 kWh of energy annually (calculated by pump efficiency 75%). The smooth inner wall also avoids slurry particle deposition and reduces pipe blockage risk. After application in a gold mine tailings transportation system, the pipe cleaning cycle is extended from 3 months to 12 months, significantly improving system continuous operation time.
