With the extensive application and development of power electronics technology, non-linear loads in power systems are increasing, such as rectifiers, frequency converters, UPS, LED lighting, household appliances and computers. When sinusoidal voltage is applied to these non-linear loads, the current becomes non-sinusoidal. Voltage drops occur across the grid impedance, which in turn distort the voltage waveform. These non-linear loads generate harmonic currents and inject them into the power grid, causing distortion of the voltage waveform in the grid and thus resulting in harmonic "pollution" of the power grid. From the experience of harmonic management, harmonics initially only appeared in a few areas with minor impacts and failed to attract attention.
