Best Practices for Annealing and Pickling Operations The stainless steel annealing line combines the traditionally independent annealing and pickling, skin leveling, and leveling processes in one production line. The stainless steel hot and cold rolling annealing and pickling process can be divided into intermediate annealing and pickling, and finished product annealing and pickling. The main purpose is to recrystallize the cold-rolled stainless steel after annealing to eliminate work hardening, soften and improve mechanical properties, and remove impurities such as scale produced during annealing by pickling, further improving the surface quality of the strip.     Annealing uses a heat treatment process to obtain a soft and uniform metallographic structure, and a special electrolytic pickling process is used to remove the scale.
